Lily Gladstone, acclaimed actress known for her role in "Killers of the Flower Moon," has recently unveiled tantalizing details about her upcoming attire for the 2024 Oscars. 

Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE at the 26th Costume Designers Guild Awards on February 21, Gladstone teased that her dress will undoubtedly be a "showstopper."

Describing her ensemble, Gladstone expressed confidence in its significance, stating, "Definitely museum-worthy, I would say." She emphasized the importance of Indigenous design in high-profile events like the Oscars, asserting that her attire will serve as ongoing proof of its rightful place on the red carpet alongside luxury fashion.

As the first Native American actress to receive an Oscar nomination, Gladstone's red carpet look holds particular significance. "It's going to be just ongoing proof that Indigenous design belongs on red carpets with luxury fashion in a very centerpiece kind of way," she remarked eagerly.

At the Costume Designers Guild Awards, Gladstone showcased her impeccable style in a custom red sequin Valentino ensemble, complete with ruffled sleeves and matching flared pants. 

Reflecting on her choice of attire, she revealed, "Valentino made it custom for me... it felt like tonight."

Explaining the significance of the color red, Gladstone highlighted its association with visibility for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives, a cause close to her heart and central to the storyline of her character. "Even though that story was 100 years ago, it wasn't a new story then, and it's still not a new story now," she explained. "So, getting to wear red increases our visibility."

Gladstone's forthcoming red carpet look promises to make a powerful statement, not only in terms of fashion but also in raising awareness for important social issues. As anticipation builds for the Oscars, all eyes will undoubtedly be on Gladstone and her museum-worthy attire.
