In a recent episode of the popular podcast "Call Her Daddy," hosted by Alex Cooper, Camila Cabello delved into the intricacies of her relationship with Shawn Mendes, shedding light on their reunion following their breakup in November 2021.

The conversation turned intimate as the 27-year-old American singer featured in "Havana" shared her unfiltered thoughts on love and post-breakup dynamics, particularly her stance on the possibility of reigniting a romance with an ex-partner.

Cabello didn't mince her words, expressing her belief that revisiting past relationships could be beneficial. "I personally think it's helpful. You can't forbid things from me because I will want to do it more," she remarked candidly. "If I want to text him, I'm gonna text him."

The "Señorita" crooner went on to reflect on her own experiences, revealing that she had similar thoughts after reconciling with Mendes. 

"You need to know that it's not going to work and then you need to be over it and you need to be like, 'I did it. And I know,'" she explained. "I'm kind of impulsive in that way I would say. I feel like it if I feel it I say it and I'm not really good at not doing that."

Drawing parallels to the romantic drama "The Notebook," Cabello humorously described her tendency to wear her heart on her sleeve. "Because then the worst place for it to live in is my mind and then I'm like Ryan Gosling in The Notebook building a house for this person," she quipped. "So I would rather say it and see what happens and then wake up the next morning and find out that it's been heavily documented."

Despite the ups and downs of their relationship, Cabello emphasized the fondness and care she still holds for Mendes. "It is what it is. It was a great route, it was a fun time, it was a fun moment," she reflected. "I will always care about him and love him."
