King Charles III, who is resuming public-facing duties while undergoing treatment for cancer, has received approval from a leading cancer specialist to continue his royal responsibilities.

Professor Karol Sikora, a prominent cancer specialist, shared insights into the king's condition, stating, "Physically, King Charles is clearly doing okay.

Sikora emphasized the psychological challenges associated with cancer diagnosis and treatment, highlighting the importance of returning to normalcy as soon as possible.

Speaking to the Mirror, Sikora explained, "The worst thing for anyone to do is to sit around watching daytime TV and reading magazines waiting for something to happen. It is good that the King is willing to go back to his unusual job if he feels able, as this will deflect the uncertainty about his future which can be frightening for anybody."

The 75-year-old monarch is set to resume his public duties on Tuesday after a three-month break for cancer treatment. Buckingham Palace announced that King Charles and Queen Camilla will make a joint visit to a cancer treatment centre to mark this milestone.

Professor Gordon Wishart, a cancer consultant, stressed the importance of survivorship in cancer care, encompassing physical, emotional, and psychological aspects.

Wishart emphasized the need for a supportive framework for cancer patients and encouraged a phased return to work, underscoring the significance of maintaining normal routines.

Prince Charles first disclosed his cancer diagnosis in February and continues to receive outpatient care for the illness, with ongoing support from his family, including Prince William and Prince Harry.
