Jason Kelce recently opened up about a comical yet endearing attempt to introduce his young daughters to ice skating. 

On the latest episode of his podcast New Heights, Jason recounted the story to his brother, Travis Kelce, highlighting how his plan to get his oldest daughters involved in sports didn’t go quite as expected.

“Dude, I tried to take Wyatt and Elliotte out for ice skating lessons and it did not go well,” Jason shared. 

He and his wife, Kylie Kelce, are parents to Wyatt, 4, Elliotte, 3, and Bennett, 15 months.

Reflecting on the experience, Jason noted, “They’re too young still, they were not ready for it and they cried the entire time.”

Travis, curious about their first experiences with ice skating, asked, “You got on skates at what, 6 years old? 7 years old?”

Jason responded, “Seven was my first time getting out there,” while Travis reminisced about his own first time at the age of five.

Travis humorously recalled his own initial terror, saying, “I was terrified though, I was crying on the bench. It was lava in my mind, I thought I was going to die. Dad picked me up and threw me on the ice!”

In addition to the ice skating story, Jason shared a charming update about his daughter Wyatt earlier this month. 

He revealed that she has a crush on a boy at her school, although he humorously refused to divulge the boy’s name. “I’m not telling you his name, but you can just tell in the way she talks about him. So I’m ready to beat him,” Jason joked.
