Alison Hammond shared her heartfelt response to Phillip Schofield's departure from This Morning amid reports of Holly Willoughby's feelings of isolation.

The TV presenter became visibly emotional on the ITV show as they finally addressed Schofield's unexpected exit.

His co-stars openly discussed the situation following his revealing interviews, acknowledging the challenge of covering such a sensitive topic involving a friend and colleague. 

Joined by guests Gyles Brandreth and Sonia Sodha, Alison Hammond expressed her struggle to come to terms with the revelations.

Overcome with emotion, she tearfully admitted, "I'm finding it really painful... I loved Phillip Schofield, and I still do, but what he's done is wrong." Reflecting on her conflicted feelings, Hammond shared a poignant message from her mother about forgiveness and refraining from judgment. 

Meanwhile, Phillip Schofield's daughters made a symbolic gesture by unfollowing Holly Willoughby on Instagram, indicating a strain in their once-close relationship.
