Emma Stone recently shared her perspective on director Yorgos Lanthimos' silent movie "Bleat" at the New York Film Festival (NYFF) on Wednesday.

Speaking during a Q&A session moderated by the festival's artistic director, Stone expressed her enthusiasm for the 30-minute silent film, describing it as a "dream come true."

"If I never had to talk again, I'd be thrilled," remarked the 34-year-old actress, as reported by Variety.

Stone emphasized her genuine preference for non-verbal communication, stating, "And so would a lot of other people." She elaborated further, stating, "I'm being serious. It's my favorite thing to not have to speak."

Stone shared her belief that silence can convey more meaning than dialogue, expressing her desire to minimize spoken lines in film.

The official synopsis of "Bleat" outlines the narrative of a grieving woman, portrayed by Stone, alongside actor Damien Bonnard.

Despite concerns over a writers' union strike, Variety reported that "Bleat" secured an interim agreement, enabling Stone to engage in discussions with the director during the festival's screening and Q&A session.

Reflecting on her participation, Stone admitted to feeling "pretty nervous" and apologized for her extended absence from the spotlight. "I haven't done this in a while. I'm sorry!" she added, highlighting her apprehension amidst the event.
