Prince Harry is set to return to the United States following a visit to Clarence House in London, where he met with his father, King Charles, who has been diagnosed with cancer.

The Duke of Sussex arrived in London from California less than 24 hours after the announcement of the King's diagnosis. Despite their strained relationship, the meeting between the father and son has sparked optimism for future encounters.

However, their initial face-to-face interaction, which lasted around 45 minutes, was brief before the King was transported by helicopter to Sandringham in Norfolk.

BBC royal correspondent Daniela Relph emphasized the significance of the meeting, stating, "This is a rare occurrence for a father and son who have had limited contact over the past four years. The relationship between them has been complex and strained. It's meaningful that Harry made the effort to be here, and it's equally significant that the King desired his presence."

According to The Telegraph, there is a possibility of another visit from Prince Harry in the future.

Royal historian Kelly Swaby commented on the situation, saying, "A health scare often serves as an opportunity for reconciliation. The response from the Royal Family mirrors what many families experience in similar circumstances. The news of a serious health issue can prompt a temporary ceasefire or a reevaluation of personal relationships. Prince Harry's return to the UK to see his father after receiving distressing news is a poignant reminder of the importance of family bonds."
