King Charles Eager to Resume Royal Duties Despite Medical Advice, Nephew Reveals

King Charles III, diagnosed with cancer last month, is reportedly keen to return to his royal duties despite advice from his medical team advising caution. 

In a recent interview, Princess Anne's son, Peter Phillips, provided insight into the monarch's recovery, stating that while the King is in good spirits, his recovery is taking longer than anticipated.

Phillips disclosed that King Charles is "hugely frustrated" by his limitations and is pushing his staff to allow him to resume more royal duties. 

Despite understanding the need to focus on his health, the monarch is eager to return to normalcy.

During his visit to Australia as a patron of the charity ISPS Handa, Phillips emphasized King Charles's determination to regain his usual routine. He described the monarch as pragmatic but persistent in his efforts to resume his duties.

Regarding the Princess of Wales, Phillips praised her remarkable strength amid her health battle and commended her and Prince William for striking a balance between their public and family lives.

Queen Camilla has reassured well-wishers that King Charles is progressing well. The monarch recently had a private lunch with the Princess of Wales, which left him feeling emotional, ahead of her public announcement of her cancer diagnosis.
