Jennifer Lopez recently debuted "This Is Me…Now: A Love Story," a film delving into the trials and tribulations of her highly scrutinized love life. 

However, her husband, Ben Affleck, made enigmatic appearances in the newly released project.

Discussing this creative choice, Lopez's film director, Dave Meyers, explained to People, "That was intentional because everything Jen shared with me revolved around her personal growth and the lessons she's learned about herself. This is what audiences will resonate with the most."

The presence of the "Gone Girl" star was subtly woven into the narrative, appearing in disguise for brief moments to underscore the enduring influence he held in Lopez's life even after their separation.

Meyers elaborated, "Early on, one idea I explored with Jen was to have Ben portray various characters, always in disguise, emphasizing his perpetual presence."

At the premiere of "This Is Me...Now: A Love Story" in Los Angeles on Tuesday, Lopez became emotional as she expressed gratitude towards her supportive spouse.

The "Ain't Your Mama" singer tearfully acknowledged Affleck, stating, "And then there is the person who inspired this for me, who has inspired me my whole life."

She continued, "I love you, and thank you for believing in me and helping me believe in myself. And helping me to grow every single day."
