Prince Harry Extends Invitation to Royal Family Ahead of UK Visit

Prince Harry has taken a significant step towards reconciliation with the royal family as he prepares for his upcoming visit to the UK for the Invictus Games 10-year celebration ceremony on May 8.

Reports suggest that the Duke of Sussex has reached out to the Firm by extending invitations to senior members of the royal family to attend his event in London, in an effort to ease tensions.

According to a well-placed London socialite familiar with both Harry and Prince William, the Duke has personally invited his father, King Charles, and other royal family members to join him at the ceremony. However, as of now, there has been no response from the senior royals.

While hopes were high for a family reunion, it has been confirmed by GB News that no senior members of the royal family are expected to attend the event at St. Paul's Cathedral. 

This absence is attributed to King Charles and Princess Kate undergoing cancer treatment at the moment.

Speculations are rife about the possibility of King Charles attending the event remotely via Zoom or even in person, considering his recent return to public duties.

In a gesture of goodwill, it's reported that the 75-year-old monarch is contemplating inviting Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to Balmoral Castle in Scotland this summer. 

This visit would provide an opportunity for King Charles to reunite with his grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet.

In addition to his royal duties, King Charles is scheduled to have his weekly audience with UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak before attending the first Buckingham Palace garden party of the season on the same day as Harry’s event.

As Prince Harry extends the olive branch to his family, hopes for reconciliation and healing within the royal fold remain high.
