Prince Harry Explains Absence of King Charles's Coronation Medals During Awards Speech

#NewsReport (from the WebDesk and the other news sources)

Royal insiders have clarified that Prince Harry had no intention of snubbing King Charles during his recent awards speech, where he notably chose not to wear his father's Coronation medals.

The Duke of Sussex, 39, faced criticism on his decision not to wear King Charles's Coronation medals during a video appearance last week, despite donning four other British military medals.

According to sources, Prince Harry provided an unusual reason for omitting the Coronation medals from his attire during the ceremony.

It has emerged that the Coronation medal, typically given to individuals actively contributing to and supporting the monarch's Coronation, needed special attention before it could be worn.

Royal commentator Ephraim Hardcastle explained in The Daily Mail that the medal was "swing-mounted" on a short ribbon and required professional assistance to affix it to a longer ribbon and mount it on a hard backing to prevent it from swinging.

Hardcastle humorously suggested, "Maybe the King should have FedExed his traveling yeoman to California to do the job."

Despite the absence of the Coronation medal, Prince Harry presented the "Soldier of the Year" award to US combat medic Sergeant First Class Elizabeth Marks, praising her courage, resilience, and determination.

In addition to his Operational Service Medal for Afghanistan, which he earned in 2008, Prince Harry wore three other significant British military medals on his smart black suit jacket.

These included the late Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal (2002), Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee Medal (2012), and the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee Medal.

It's worth noting that Prince Harry made a special trip to the UK last May to attend the historic Coronation ceremony in support of his father, King Charles, demonstrating his commitment to royal duties and family.
