Emily Blunt recently shared insights into her children's response to her role in the Jungle Cruise movie, which hit screens in 2011.

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, the 41-year-old actress disclosed that her two daughters, whom she shares with husband and actor John Krasinski, weren't particularly fond of certain scenes in the film.

Blunt revealed, "They've seen Jungle Cruise once. They didn't like the underwater stuff where I'm trapped and I'm in peril."

Blunt recounted how her daughters reacted emotionally to seeing their mother in danger on screen, noting that they "started crying" and even left the room during those intense scenes.

Delving into her children's perspective, Blunt acknowledged, "They don't love watching me on screen. Which I understand because I'm their mommy and it's very strange to see me play someone else."

Supporting Blunt's observation, her co-star in The Fall Guy, Ryan Gosling, expressed his discomfort with witnessing her character in distress, stating, "I didn't like that, either. That was upsetting for me to watch you like that!"

Switching gears, Blunt reflected on her experiences performing stunts in various movies.

She contrasted the dangers of wire work in Edge of Tomorrow with the stress of executing a seemingly effortless entrance in Mary Poppins Returns

Regarding the latter, Blunt admitted, "The magical nanny’s entrance had to start in the clouds and come all the way down toward the ground. And I'm supposed to walk effortlessly into my close-up as if it's nothing.

Despite her professional demeanor, she confessed that the demanding scene pushed her limits, concluding, "And I did three takes — and then I felt my tolerance goes, ‘Pfft!’ and that was it. I was done."

Blunt's candid revelations offer a glimpse into the complexities of balancing her roles as a mother and an actress, navigating the challenges of on-screen peril while prioritizing her children's emotional well-being.
