Will Smith is set to light up the stage at the 2024 BET Awards with the debut performance of his latest song. 

The highly anticipated event will take place in Los Angeles on June 30, featuring a star-studded lineup including Ice Spice, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Tyla, and Victoria Monét.

"From his start as a rapper to The Fresh Prince to being a box office king as one of the Bad Boys, Will Smith is truly a global icon, and we are honored to welcome him back to grace the BET Awards stage," said Connie Orlando, EVP Specials, Music Programming & Music Strategy at BET.

Will Smith's return to the music scene has been making waves, especially with his recent collaboration with Sean Paul on the track "Light ‘Em Up," part of the soundtrack for his latest movie Bad Boys: Ride or Die. 

Earlier this year, the I Am Legend star surprised fans with a performance at Coachella, joining Colombian singer J Balvin on stage.

Smith's illustrious music career includes four Grammy awards: 

Best Rap Performance for "Parents Just Don’t Understand" (1989), 

Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group for "Summertime" (1992), 

Best Rap Solo Performance for "Men in Black" (1998), 

and for "Gettin' Jiggy wit It" (1999).

This year's BET Awards will be hosted by Taraji P. Henson, and Usher will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award. Fans eagerly await Smith's performance, marking another milestone in his multifaceted career.
