#NewsReport (from the WebDesk and the other news sources)

As King Charles continues his treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer, palace insiders have offered a current update on his health, indicating a positive trajectory in his recovery.

In a conversation with PEOPLE, a source close to the royal family disclosed that the monarch is steadily resuming his regular public duties, showcasing promising progress with his treatment and maintaining an optimistic outlook.

Medical professionals overseeing his care are reportedly encouraged by his response to treatment.

Since the announcement of his cancer diagnosis on February 5, King Charles has limited his public appearances and commitments. However, as he progresses in his recovery, preparations are underway for his involvement in important engagements scheduled for the summer months.

The King's team is cautiously considering his summer schedule, expressing increased confidence in his ability to fulfill royal duties given the advanced medical care he is receiving. Nevertheless, decisions regarding engagements will be made based on medical advice closer to the scheduled events.

Despite undergoing treatment, King Charles remains actively engaged in his responsibilities, diligently attending to paperwork and maintaining regular meetings with the Prime Minister.

Amidst his health journey, plans are in place for the King and Queen to attend the Sunday Easter service, with special accommodations arranged to prioritize King Charles' well-being. He will be seated separately from the main congregation, following the recommendations of his medical team to minimize health risks.

Looking ahead, King Charles is hopeful about attending summer events such as Trooping the Colour and a D-Day commemoration on June 6. Additionally, there are plans for an overseas visit alongside his son, the Prince of Wales, to show support for Britain's war veterans on the 80th anniversary of D-Day in France.
