Angelina Jolie recently shared a glimpse into her newest tattoo during the opening night of "The Outsiders" on Broadway. 

Photos published by PEOPLE magazine captured the Tomb Raider actress posing with her 15-year-old daughter Vivienne Jolie-Pitt on the red carpet, where Jolie's new ink was on display as she adjusted her hair.

The tattoo, prominently displayed on her hand, reads "Stay Gold." Allure magazine noted that this line is from S.E. Hinton's book "The Outsiders" and the 1983 Francis Ford Coppola film adaptation that inspired the Broadway show.

During an interview with PEOPLE at an event in New York on April 11, Jolie praised her daughter, referring to her as a "tough assistant." She revealed how Vivienne takes her role seriously, often reminding Jolie of important tasks and details.

Describing her daughter's work ethic, Jolie stated, "She'll correct me. She'll say, 'Didn't you read the memo? We have to do this. We have to go through this.'" She emphasized Vivienne's dedication to her responsibilities.

Additionally, on April 14, Justin Levine, who collaborates with Jolie and her daughter on "The Outsiders," shared a photo of his own "Stay Gold" tattoo on Instagram Stories. He expressed his surprise at getting the tattoo, writing, "Never thought I'd see the day."

At the Broadway opening night, Jolie embodied the "stay gold" ethos by donning a golden Chloé x Atelier Jolie dress paired with a vintage cape in a warm rust color. She accessorized with mixed metal earrings and wore her honey-blonde hair down and loose around her shoulders.
