Meghan Markle has found herself facing fresh criticism for her purported "strategic friendship" with her former best friend, Jessica Mulroney.

Royal commentator Charlotte Griffiths didn't hold back as she took a sharp jab at the Duchess of Sussex, suggesting that Meghan has a pattern of distancing herself from friends after benefiting from their support.

Griffiths highlighted Meghan's alleged reputation for "unfriending her friends," even noting that the term "Markled" has made its way into the Urban Dictionary, defining it as abandoning someone or something after they've made a meaningful contribution to one's life.

Speaking on Palace Confidential, Griffiths remarked, "[She's unfriended] family members, Suits co-stars, her best friend Jessica Mulroney whose children were page boys at the royal wedding."

The relationship between Meghan and Mulroney reportedly cooled in 2020 following a controversy surrounding Mulroney's involvement in a "white privilege" dispute during the Black Lives Matter movement.

Griffiths didn't mince words in her critique of Meghan's friendship dynamics, suggesting that Meghan's behavior appears strategic, with her discarding friends once they've served their purpose.

She also questioned Meghan's recent jam launch, quipping, "How does she know 50 people to send jam to? This is a woman that doesn't have 50 friends as far as we can tell."

The commentator drew parallels to Meghan's royal wedding guest list, implying that Meghan had invited individuals to her wedding whom she barely knew, such as Oprah Winfrey.
