Katy Perry Reveals Her Pick for American Idol Replacement Judge

Katy Perry recently shared her thoughts on who she would like to see replace her on the American Idol judging panel after this season.

In an interview with E! News, the "Firework" singer opened up about her choice to join Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan at the judges' table.

"I gotta say Jelly Roll was crazy when he came on the show," Katy remarked.

She continued, expressing her admiration for Jelly Roll, "I was convinced at anything he said. He could run for president, he could be my pastor, I might go back to church for him. He could sell me anything."

"So I love Jelly Roll," Katy added enthusiastically, expressing her support for the contestant.

Regarding the qualities she hopes to see in the show's replacement judge, Katy emphasized the importance of having a truth-teller who is unafraid to speak their mind in a graceful manner.

She also stressed the need for the future judge to avoid reading negative comments from online haters.

Katy highlighted the challenges women often face in positions of authority, stating, "Unfortunately, when you're a woman and you have an opinion or you're a boss, sometimes you're also considered a (expletive) so just someone that has a strong sense of self, that listens to their intuition."

In conclusion, Katy expressed her excitement at the prospect of having someone like Jelly Roll join the American Idol judging panel, stating, "To have any of these guys plus Jelly on the show would be amazing. I love you, Jelly!"
