Prince Andrew Appears Downcast After King Charles' Stern Warning Over Royal Lodge Dispute

Prince Andrew has been looking downcast following King Charles' stern warning regarding the ongoing dispute over the Royal Lodge. 

This morning, the 64-year-old Duke of York was seen driving his Range Rover from his residence at the Royal Lodge in Windsor.

Reports indicate that King Charles, Andrew's elder brother, has cautioned him that his situation will become "uncomfortable" if he continues to stay in the 30-room mansion. 

The 75-year-old monarch is reportedly intensifying efforts this year to persuade Andrew to vacate the home, which he shares with his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson. Insiders have dubbed the standoff the "siege of Royal Lodge."

According to palace sources, the King, who currently funds Andrew's lifestyle, might "reconsider the levels of support he is willing to provide" if Andrew refuses all offers of a new home. 

The Duke of York, who will not return to public duty after paying millions to settle an abuse case involving a Jeffrey Epstein sex trafficking victim, has resisted the King's pleas to move out for the past 18 months.

The Sun exclusively revealed that Andrew had rejected an offer to move into Frogmore Cottage last year after Harry and Meghan were served with an eviction notice. 

Andrew is still refusing to leave, pointing out that he holds a 75-year lease on Royal Lodge. However, a friend told The Times, "It can be done tidily or untidily. It can be done with grace and dignity or it can be forced upon him. It’s all rather sad."

"As things stand, life at Royal Lodge is set to become increasingly cold and uncomfortable for the Duke," the friend added. 

This tension arises as Charles is reportedly unwilling to continue funding Andrew's lavish lifestyle out of his own pocket.

The situation highlights the growing pressure on Prince Andrew and the potential impact on his living arrangements as King Charles seeks to resolve the dispute.
