Reports have surfaced suggesting that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were among the last family members to be informed about Princess Kate's cancer diagnosis. 

Speculations hint at the strained relationship between the Sussexes and the rest of the royal family, which may have delayed the news reaching them.

The announcement of Kate's cancer diagnosis, made through a poignant video on March 22, came as a shock to many. Following this revelation, Harry and Meghan issued a brief public statement, extending their wishes for Kate's health and recovery. 

However, reports indicate that the Sussexes were only privately informed about the diagnosis shortly before it was made public.

Royal historian and expert Dr. Tessa Dunlop believes that the delicate situation may have exacerbated Harry's feelings about his role within the family. According to Dr. Dunlop, Harry sees himself as the "spare" in the royal family, and Kate's health revelations may have intensified his sense of being sidelined.

The news about Kate's diagnosis coincides with Meghan's preparations to launch her new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard. Dr. Dunlop emphasizes that while the situation is not entirely the fault of Harry and Meghan, they now find themselves in a challenging position. 

She expresses compassion for the couple, suggesting that in any family, individuals may withhold criticism out of concern for a family member's health.
